WHAT IS THE SONY PICTURES TELEVISION
(SPT) DIVERSE DIRECTORS PROGRAM?
The SPT DIVERSE DIRECTORS PROGRAM provides access and exposure for highly qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds to television episodic directing. This program enables some of its participants to shadow veteran Directors Guild of America (DGA) directors on episodes of various scripted SPT series. Program Participants will meet with Sony creative executives, executive producers and veteran DGA TV directors while they take part in an intensive episodic directing workshop and attend guest speaker events. Those participants who do well over the course of their participation in the program will be considered to direct an episode or episodes of a scripted SPT series in subsequent seasons.
